Benetti delivers the fourth Mediterraneo 116 and the fifth Delfino 95
In conjunction with the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous, a boat show held from the 9th to the 12th of May in Viareggio, where it became the protagonist by exhibiting 3 yachts of the Class category, Benetti also delivered M/Y “Good Day”, the fourth hull of Mediterraneo 116 and M/Y “Baya”, the fifth unit of Delfino 95. The exterior lines of both yachts were designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta and the interiors were developed by Benetti's Interior Style Department projects.
Benetti delivered two yachts of the Class category. M/Y "Good Day", the fourth vessel of Mediterraneo 116, a light but impressive yacht with 4 decks and 35.5 meters long and M/Y "Baya", the fifth unit of Delfino 95, a yacht of 29 meters in length, with elegant interiors and sinuous exteriors.
On 8th May “Good Day”, the fourth unit of the Mediterraneo 116, was delivered. Giorgio M. Cassetta designed the vessel by creating large windows from which natural light streams in. Benetti’s Interior Style Department has embellished the interiors with details to meet the needs and requirements of the owner. First of all, an elevator that goes from the Main Deck to the upper decks. Among the requests, also a great variety of materials that, combined together, create a different chromatic effect in each environment. The wood used on the Lower Deck are Tay, Tanganyika and Elm while for the upper decks only Elm and Tanganyika were used. Mosaics and marble details characterize the bathrooms, the alternation of Travertine, Shara Noir, Port Laurent, Ermosa and Blue Sea gives it a pleasant touch of colour.
The Main Deck is a very formal environment with 2 sofas facing each other and a round 12seater table for representation dinners. The large and spacious galley, also made according to a careful customization, is equipped with a high-performance steam oven and a modern wok system. The full-beam owner's suite is located on bow, preceded by a private study, equipped with a comfortable wardrobe and characterized by large panoramic windows that allow you to enjoy a real bath of light. A further request from the owner was the addition of a bathtub and a shower bench in the bathroom of the suite.
The customized layout on the Lower Deck also includes four guest cabins, each with a large private bathroom embellished by different marbles. On the same deck, towards the bow, there are also 4 cabins for the 6 crew members and the captain.
The Upper Deck is designed for moments of greater conviviality and is equipped with a swimming pool and sunbathing areas at bow. A karaoke area and games cabin, with a square table for 4 people and a wine cellar, occupy the interiors where a ventilation system that allows smoking indoors has been installed. On the same deck, more towards the stern and outside, there is a large L-shaped sofa, a round table and stairs that give access to the Sun Deck characterized by a large, particularly comfortable dining area and a space dedicated to relaxation.
"Good Day" is driven by 2 MAN V12 of 1,029 Kw up to a maximum speed of 15 knots while the cruising speed is about 14 knots.
Also in Viareggio, on 15th May M/Y "Baya", fifth sister ship of Delfino 95, was delivered to its owner. The external string lines designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta are joined by the luminous interiors created by Benetti's Interior Style Department which met the demands of the owner. The chromatic and material ensemble gives particular refinement to the ambience in which the Ash, Eucalyptus and Tay woods alternate with each other with polished brass details. The Main Deck hosts a living space with a relaxation area and a 10-seater table. Amidship, the galley is embellished by a large wine cellar while the owner's cabin at bow is dominated by a bed with refined headrests decorated in leather. The flooring of this bridge is made of wood, but the day head and the owner's bathroom are in marble.
The Lower Deck houses a garage that can be opened at stern and the engine room. 2 VIP cabins and 2 guest rooms, each with private bathroom, are in the sleeping area dedicated to guests. At bow, in a separate room, there is a dinette and 3 cabins for 5 crew members and the captain. The Upper Deck has been created for outdoor moments. At stern, two sofas and a dining table shaded by a retractable top precede the navigation bridge that overlooks a Jacuzzi and a relaxation area with a sofa and a sunbed with reclining headrests upholstered with blue fabric. On the Sun Deck there is a second bridge, a sofa and a teak and aluminium table which allow to fully enjoy the cruise.
The engines, two 1,000 hp Man V8s each, give the opportunity to cover about 2,400 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots. For faster movements, the boat can reach 13.5 knots.
