Sea Leisure Yachting Group Acquires The Ocean Voyager Brand

The Sea Leisure Yachting Group (SLYG), which produces charter and cruising catamarans, RHIBs and sailing dinghies in Sri Lanka, have extended their reach into the Marine Tourism market by acquiring the ownership of the established Ocean Voyager brand of day cruising catamarans.

Previously owned by the Grand Large Yachting Group in France, SLYG has already been manufacturing models in the Ocean Voyager range in Sri Lanka for five years as part of a Joint Venture agreement.

Pierre Pringiers, Chairman and owner of SLYG, says, “Because of the synergy between SLYG and Ocean Voyager it’s a natural progression for us to acquire the brand which fits in well with our existing charter catamaran range, Ceycat and Ocean Diamond, that we have been building in Sri Lanka for the past nine years. We have had a successful commercial joint venture agreement with Grand Large for some years manufacturing selected models in our Sri Lanka factories - so we understand the brand and its offer to the charter boat Industry very well”

The Ocean Voyager brand comprises a range of day cruising charter catamarans from 40’ to 78’ targeted at the growing marine tourism industry worldwide. Over 60 catamarans have been successfully built and delivered to charter operators in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Asia.
