Australia welcomes Cruising Superyachts
It has been a long wait but Australia is now welcoming Superyachts and crew again, exemption and quarantine free, after the Covid Pandemic slammed borders closed in March 2020.
With the successful and quarantine free arrival of a private 63m Superyacht into NSW in November this year 408 temporary activity visa holders (Superyacht Crew) can now enter without the need for mandatory hotel quarantine periods, avoiding huge expense and precious time.
It's been a testing year for our industry in Australia - shipyards, marinas, tourism operators, recruitment agencies and agents have all felt the effects from the lack of international visitors into the country - many having to lay off staff or reduce their hours. However, with the new year nearly upon us and a clear road map for international visitors to return, Superyacht 153 are very excited for a busy 2022 and to welcome more superyachts to visit this fascinating country.
