Benetti chooses the 2019 Palm Beach International Boat Show to display as a world premiere MY “ELALDREA”
After the Miami Yacht Show last February, Benetti returns to the United States for the Palm Beach International Boat Show, from March 28 to 31, 2019 in West Palm Beach. The Tuscan Shipyard will be showing for the first time ever FB702 “Elaldrea+”, yacht with a classic and timeless style. The flowing exterior lines of this custom 49-meter mega yacht have been designed by Argentinian architect Horacio Bozzo, while the interiors are the work of the Benetti Style Department. Accompanying “Elaldrea+” to Palm Beach is the fourth Fast 125 unit built, “Lejos3”, a 38-meter superyacht featuring the innovative D2P_Displacement to Planing® hull and fitted with the Azipull Carbon 65 propulsion system, developed in partnership with Rolls Royce. The interiors of “Lejos3” are by UK-based design firm RWD and the exteriors are by Stefano Righini.
“Returning twice to America in little more than a month is a strategically important decision for Benetti,” explained CEO Franco Fusignani. “America is one of the world’s most important yachting markets and many of our yachts spend most of the year there. What is more North, Central and South American customers appreciate the combination of tradition, innovative technology and Made in Italy style for which Benetti is a worthy ambassador.
Benetti will be showing two iconic superyachts under the Florida sun: “Elaldrea+”, a 49-meter custom displacement yacht with an aluminium superstructure and a steel hull, and “Lejos3” the fourth unit built of the Fast 125 Class category yacht, of which seven units have already been launched.
“Elaldrea+” is an elegant yacht with value trim in polished black walnut wood and silk panelling on the walls. Fabrics were chosen among brands like Dedar, Armani and Loro Piana. Purity and minimalism of the exterior styling of “Elaldrea+” express the spirit embodied by the project and are the work of architect Horacio Bozzo, while the interiors are by the Benetti Style Department. The layout of the yacht, spread across four decks, features a generous 115-square-meter flybridge with swimming pool as well as a spacious beach club with air conditioning, sofa, TV, bar and sauna.
For the main lounge, the owner has chosen creations by Poltrona Frau, Giorgetti and Arketipo to celebrate Made in Italy excellence, while the dining area floors are in Afyon marble trimmed with Sahara noir marble. Amidships on the same deck is a galley complete with two wine cellars. The owner’s full-beam apartments in the bow, decorated with fine varieties of marble and wood, have two dressing rooms, two bathrooms that share a spacious shower and a flying out balcony. The Main Deck features finely decorated interiors and aft cockpit furniture designed by Horacio Bozzo, who used cabinet making techniques using wooden cravings, steel inserts and coloured glass.
The Lower Deck contains both the night area, the guest accommodations with two very spacious VIP cabins and two doubles with queen-size and single beds, all with en-suite bathrooms, and the crew area, which offers three double cabins with private bathrooms. Also, on the Lower Deck are the engine room and the aft garage with access through a side door. The engine room contains three in-line generators fitted with HUG anti-particulate filters, an important novelty that reduces pollutant emissions compared with the standard unit. In addition, at the request of the owner, the chief engineer’s cabin with private bathroom is located near the engine room.
Alongside “Elaldrea+”, Benetti will be showing the fourth Fast 125 unit built, “Lejos3”, the 38-meter superyacht with D2P Displacement to Planing® hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio in partnership with the Azimut Benetti Research & Development centre. This special hull with wave piercer reduces consumption at low speeds in displacement mode and provides maximum comfort at higher speeds in planing mode. Like the other Fast 125 units, “Lejos3” is fitted with the Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65) propulsion system, which is both extremely silent and lightweight thanks to the extensive use of composite materials. This innovative system, created in partnership with Rolls Royce specifically for Fast 125 units, delivers excellent performance in terms of both weight reduction and handling.
“Lejos3” is laid out on four decks: on Lower Deck there are four VIP cabins, while the owner’s suite and a lounge with an indoor dining area are located on the Main Deck. The Upper Deck and Sun Deck both have swimming pools.
The sporty exterior design is the work of Stefano Righini, while the interiors are by RWD. This unit features the Air configuration, the most modern of the three variants - Air, Land and Sea – elaborated by RWD, that Benetti proposes to Fast 125 owners.
Benetti Yachts will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show from 28 to 31 March, stand: Palm Harbour, E300
