Big turnout for Kaohsiung grass-roots marina lobby group
Last month the first meeting of the lobby group established by Captain Paul Brackley was held in Kaohsiung which will encourage government to create a proper superyacht marina in KHH: Kaohsiung International Marina Development Association, KIMDA.
The association consist of a variety of concerned citizens and business’ that see the benefit that a superyacht marina will bring the city in terms of employment, spending, glamour and beauty.
It is unusual to form a grass roots lobby group like this, but it is a more democratic way to put pressure on legislators to do the right economic and environmental thing for Kaohsiung.
The economic benefit will be much higher and environmental impact lower having ten 60m superyachts in the marina with all modern systems than having 100 forty-foot speedboats in the same space.
