Catalano Shipping Services Welcomes Superyachts
Catalano Shipping Services is welcoming yachts, captains and crew back to Singapore and Indonesia and making sure the yachts are well supplied after long periods out at sea. Catalano Shipping Services (CCS) recently welcomed a 50m Sailing Yacht into Singapore after they had spent several months on anchor in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Captain and Crew were happy to back dockside at Republic of Singapore Yacht Club for the foreseeable future! The CSS Singapore team handled everything for them from clearances to goods inbound, fresh provisions and a few cold beers! “We are very busy handling crew in’s and outs for our clients as Singapore remains one of the only ports where this is possible,” says Richard Lofthouse, MD of Catalano Shipping Services Asia. “ For those already in, we are handling shore passes to try to get life back to some kind of normal after a challenging few months.”
Lofthouse goes on to report that CSS Indonesia has also been busy with an influx of yachts into Benoa Marina, which is managed by CSS. “In addition to a 55m M/Y there have been four 60 footers who are sitting things out before heading elsewhere. We also cleared in a 50m Superyacht for a fuel stop in Bali this week, and were able to do that successfully within four hours before they continued their journey to Cairns.”
CSS NZ has also been incredibly busy during the new lockdown in Auckland which has meant a renewed reliance on the 'essential services' provided by Duthie Lidguard and the team. With the marina full and the shipyard fully booked, it looks like a busy run into the end of the year for the CSS Kiwis!
