Chairman and Vice-Chairman Message 28 October 2024

Once again, the Monaco Yacht Show has reaffirmed its status as the world's premier superyacht event, further solidifying its role as an ambassador of Monaco, the capital of yachting. APSA was proud to host its annual Asia Superyacht Night which saw more than 250 APSA members and guests attending. The growing popularity of this event over the last three years shows how importance this networking opportunity is for the Asia-Pacific superyacht community.

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is next on the agenda, and APSA looks forward to catching up the 30 plus APSA members who are exhibiting or visiting the show.  Celebrating its 65th edition, the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) will welcome at least 159 yachts above 24 metres, and makes FLIBS the largest in-water boat show in the world.

APSA is excited to welcome returning member, Camper & Nicholson who are an exhibitor at the FLIBS. This global leader was first founded in 1782 as a construction shipyard, and the Camper & Nicholsons name became synonymous with expertise, market knowledge, design and build excellence and effortless performance, the characteristics that are still echoed in the company’s core values today. Camper & Nicholsons has 10 offices around the world, and has its head office in Hong Kong which gives it a very strong Asia-Pacific connection.

Other news this month includes the expanded superyacht services by Praxis who has launched a new suite of solutions for yacht ownership, management and crew services. While Ferretti Yachts will host the US debut of the INFYNITO 90, and premiere of the Ferretti Yachts 670, along with another eight yachts from Riva, Pershing, Itama, Custom Line and Wally, which are part of the Group’s brands.
