APSA is looking forward to meeting members at the Singapore Yachting Festival (25-28 April), and the inaugural ICOMIA Boating Industry Conference (22-23 April) being held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa, Singapore. With over 70 yachts on display, including several superyachts, there is plenty to engage both industry professionals and visitors alike. APSA is a Supporting Partner for the SYF, and APSA Committee member Alex Teji, (APSA Honorary Legal Counsel) will be attending the Festival, along with APSA Executive Director, Suzy Rayment. There are a number of updates in this newsletter on members activities at the Singapore Yachting Festival, and we wish APSA Founder Member Mike Simpson and the Simpson Marine Group all the best with their 40th Anniversary celebrations. The Sanlorenzo 118 will be taking centre stage amongst the six-yacht fleet that make up the Simpson Marine in-water display. Another APSA member, Hong Seh alongside their principal Ferretti Group will be show casing the Asia-Pacific Première of the wallywhy 200. This futuristic space ship, with its the vast owner’s suite in the bow and interior décor by Loro Piana, will create a certain WOW factor on the water.
Included in this newsletter is an update from one of our newest members, Pantaenius, the Hamburg-based insurance broker who is celebrating 125 years in business. Harald Baum and his family continue to build Europe's leading yacht insurance experts, which includes an Asia-Pacific branch in Australia.
Horizon Yachts is pleased to announce their participation in the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (23-26 May), were they will present two brand new FD builds globally premièred at the recent 2024 Horizon Open House, as well as the first V74 customised for the Australian market.
Finally, don’t forget to schedule your visit to Hong Kong in June for the inaugural Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit organised by Superyacht Times. APSA is a Supporting Partner for this Summit, which takes place 5-6 June 2024 at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong. I will be there participating as a speaker, along with my fellow Committee member Gordon Fernandes (Asia Pacific Superyachts). This two-day event promises to be a major game-changer for the superyacht industry in Asian region.
