Chairman’s Message 20 December 2024
Dear APSA Members and Friends,
It has been a busy year for APSA, with more events on the calendar than ever before, and 2025 looks to be even busier! We round up with the year with a number of stories that feature new developments, partnerships and expertise in the Asia-Pacific region.
Some international news comes from the Praxis Group who have achieved a significant milestone with the international certification of its yacht safety management system, enabling it to serve commercially operating yachts over 500GT. And HFW’s twice-yearly briefing, 'Comprehensively Yachts', provides expert commentary on a range of matters that are of interest and importance to the superyacht industry.
This month APSA is very pleased to welcome two new members: HeySea Yachts, a globally recognized superyacht manufacturer and a top-ranked builder in China, which operates from a state-of-the-art 66,700 sqm production base in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. Another new member is Bruhat Logistics Singapore who as joined as a Premium Member. The company has an extensive global network and industry expertise, making them a top choice for transporting your boats or vessels anywhere in the world.
In Japan, after several years of planning, SUPERYACHT BASE company is pleased to announce the award of the new Kobe Marina project to its consortium, SUPERYACHT BASE KOBE, which with 1.4km of dockage will be able to accommodate any size yachts. The consortium consists of seven principal investors, 4 of which are APSA members - Horizon Yachts, Setouchi Brand Corporation, Creation Co., Ltd, and SYL Japan.
In Vietnam, Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific is proud to announce the grand opening of the Sanlorenzo Vietnam showroom. Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific is collaborating with O2H2O, who will be their exclusive Vietnam representative for Sanlorenzo and Bluegame, and the brokerage arrangement will operate alongside O2H2O’s private jet brokerage and management services.
Looking ahead to 2025, we have updates on the Thailand Yachting Conference (8 January) and Thailand International Boat Show (9-12 January) being held at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina. In April there is the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (8-9 April 2025) and the Singapore Yachting Festival (10-13 April) at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Singapore.
