Chairman's Message 30 September 2024

Dear APSA Members and Friends,

The Asia Superyacht Night (Monaco) on Tuesday 24 September 2024, was a huge success with the Committee welcoming over 250 members and guests to our signature event. The response was over whelming with over 250 guests attending. Many thanks go to our Platinum sponsor, Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS), our Gold sponsors YACHTZOO, Maritime Cook Islands, Hill Dickinson, Setouchi DMO and Fema Marine, and Silver sponsors Frigomar, Cayman Islands Shipping Registry, and Superyacht Australia. 'Southeast Asia' was the theme of this year’s Asia Superyacht Night, and guests were welcomed in true Asian Style by Thai dancers.

The Association’s future is looking bright as we welcome our first Platinum Member, the Praxis Group. Praxis, a leading provider of bespoke private wealth, corporate administration and yacht services to individuals, families and companies across the world. With over 50 years’ experience in yacht ownership and operational services, its yacht services division (formerly Sarnia Yachts) is one of the longest standing teams in the yacht sector. Head of Yacht Services, Lee Madgewick, said: ‘We're thrilled to join APSA as platinum member, aligning with the region's dynamic growth and innovation in luxury yachting. This partnership opens up exciting opportunities for collaboration with other members also supporting clients in the region.’

This newsletter look at some of the highlights from the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), and including news from OCEA Yachts on their OCEA Commuter 108. Gulf Craft exhibited the Majesty 120, and shared their plans for the newest masterpiece, the Majesty 100Terrace. There's a story by Superyacht Life Foundation on the Fuel Cell Technology that powers the new Sanlorenzo’s 50Steel ALMAX which was on display at the MYS. Finally, the Ferretti Group hosted a ‘Private Preview’ at the Monaco Yacht Club in early September, at which Robbie Williams gave an incredible live performance to Ferretti owners and guests, marking the high point of the preview that showcased Ferretti Group’s 37-strong fleet that included seven world premières

Hope you enjoyed everything that Monaco had to offer this year, but more importantly enjoy your time on the water especially if you are cruising in the Asia-Pacific!

Best Regards
