The successful Americas Cup AC36 was held in New Zealand during the global pandemic, and New Zealand can safely say all Superyachts and the Owners that ventured to these shores thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The future planning for the AC37 is merely weeks away before we know where in the world, if not Auckland, where it will be held.

Catalano Shipping Services NZ (CSSNZ) office was the endorsed Yacht Agent for the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron – Home of the Americas Cup for the AC36. The office went from strength to strength during the Cup event, ensuring that RNZYS members and affiliates had the best opportunity and success rate on entering the country for the Cup.

With New Zealand in full winter mode, many yachts have remained in New Zealand for Refit and Repair. Crew are enjoying the Winter Ski season, Dives, Hikes and still continue to explore this amazing country.  The industry remains alive and well, with plenty of interest from yachts looking to head to our shoreline for 2022 .

New Zealand borders will remain tightly controlled for the rest of 2021 until majority if all not all the local population, who can be vaccinated are indeed vaccinated .  New Zealand still has 14-day isolation requirements when flying in once the entry visas are approved.
