Great Barrier Reef Cruising Seminars

Throughout July, the SuperYacht Group Great Barrier Reef with the support from the Queensland Government hosted four Great Barrier Reef information seminars across Queensland to educate the industry and superyachts on all details of cruising and chartering the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

“The seminar was important to educate industry as well as superyacht captains and crew to ensure they have all the information on hand to cruise the diverse and exceptional cruising grounds of the Great Barrier Reef region, resulting in many bucket-list experiences for yacht guests,” explained Joanne Drake, Manager at SuperYacht group Great Barrier Reef.

Thank you to our invited presenters from Maritime Safety Qld and Harbourmasters, Australian Reef Pilots, Torres Strait representatives, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, Local dive guides and Superyacht Australia and to all the supporters of these events.  We received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback with attendees expressing their interest to host more seminars in the future.

In collaboration with our presenters, we have developed a SuperYacht Cruising Reference table to help simplify the permits and regulations for all areas of the reef.  Both the recorded videos and the Reference Table will be available on our SuperYacht Group Great Barrier Reef website once finalised.  Please see our Great Barrier Reef Superyacht Guide Book HERE.
