Club Marina Cove hosted the Kong International Boat Show 2024 in Sai Kung from 28 November to 01 December 2024. The four-day event, which has the support of the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association, had on display a wide range of products from leading international boating brands, and provide visitors with the opportunity of viewing the latest models of boats, engines, marine and water sports equipment.
The four-day event, organised by Club Marina Cove (CMC), featured a wide range of some 50 boats with the latest designs and makes by leading brands from Italy, France, Finland, Poland, UK, U.S.A. and China.
Miss Winnie Ng, General Manager of CMC said the Club will continue to support the development of the boating industry which has a growing importance in the local economy. We hope the Government could recognise the increasing demand for pleasure boat moorings and berths. An increase could benefit the industry which in turn contributes to more employment and business for shipyards, marine equipment, services and supplies and marine tourism.
The Hong Kong International Boat Show 2024, which is supported by the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association (HKBIA) was the venue for the HKBIA’s AGM and Chairman Lawrence Chow gave a presentation on the discussions being held with the Hong Kong Government on the development of the marine economy. The industry then gathered for a cocktail reception where HKBIA and Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) members mingled and networked. APSA members exhibiting at the show included Lodestone Yachts, Ferretti Group, SEABOB and Simpson Marine - who are celebrating their 40 Anniversary with APSA members Cowie & Co, Praxis and HFW attending the networking event.
The Show is widely regarded as Hong Kong’s most popular and successful boating event which serves as an important platform for the promotion of boating and water sports as well as other related trades including financing, insurance and marine communications.
