Japan International Boat Show 2025

The Japan International Boat Show (JIBS) is a four-day event being held across three venues (20-23 March 2025). The Pacifico Yokohama will showcase over 190 exhibitors, including the latest models by Japanese shipyards, marinas, marine equipment, water toys and luxury cars; the Yokohama Bayside Marina has 53 yachts on display in-water, including international brands of both power and sail; and finally, the Hakkeijima Marina Venue offers sea-themed experience programmes that can be enjoyed by both parents and children.
Representing the superyacht sector, YACHTZOO and Creation Co. Ltd are leading the way and introducing superyachts to the Japanese yachting community. Nigel Beatty, who heads up YACHTZOO in Japan and the SYL Group, is also Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association. YACHTZOO is a new generation brokerage company based in Monaco, Florida, UK, Dubai and Japan. The team consist of experienced leaders passionate about providing exceptional service, specialists in purchase and sales, new yacht construction, charter retail, charter marketing, and management.
Beatty believes that Japan is Asia’s next big superyacht hub. “I am based between Monaco and Japan, and here (Japan) is where the superyacht community will grow in the future, especially with the new Super Yacht Base Kobe which is now in development and will be able to accommodate any size yacht alongside, with stern to dockage for up to 80m. With 50% more cruising grounds than the USA, Japan has extensive and glorious cruising grounds where superyachts can cruise all year round. Japan is Asia’s biggest yachting community, and the Japanese Government has made it easier for a superyachts to cruise and charter here!
Beatty is also very excited to be representing the Italian Sea Group that includes Admiral, Picchiotti, Perini Navi brands and the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, inspired by the performance of Lamborghini supersports cars. The two MAN V 12 – 2000HP engines allow the boat to reach an impressive speed of 63 knots, while the use of carbon fibre (a typical element of the cars of Sant’Agata Bolognese) guarantees the classification in the range of ultralight boats with a maximum weight of 24 tons for 63 feet LOA. “We have a model of this stunning craft on display at the stand, so please come along and meet Fabrizio Massa from the Italian Sea Group who is an expert on these yachts.” Beatty also represents ICE custom built sailing yachts, and Lancia Aprea, luxury Italian motor yachts.
Working with Beatty is long-term business partner and close friend Yukio Shintani who established CREATION in 1984 from their base in Osaka. In addition, they have built their own brand yachts such as Infini, Jack, and the C-Series lines of pleasure boats.
