New APSA Affiliate Association Member: Leisure Marine Association MENA

Over the last three years a group of active marine industry leaders have been working diligently behind the scenes to establish a marine industry association that brings together all stakeholders within the UAE and greater MENA region to speak with a united voice.

The Leisure Marine Association MENA (LMA) is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and promotes, protects, and advances the interests of its members and the leisure marine community. The Association advises and assists governments, public authorities, trade industries, and associations concerning matters of interest to the leisure marine sector. Making the region an enjoyable place for yachting & boating, advocating safe yachting & boating practices, creating environmental awareness and providing educational opportunities for leisure marine enthusiasts and trade professionals.

The President of the new Leisure Marine Association MENA is Abeer Al Shaali, Deputy Managing Director of Gulf Craft, and the Founding Committee and Members comprise leading lights from the marine industry including yacht builders, marine equipment suppliers, port and marina management, waterfront development and related sectors. Among the association's main interests is promoting the region as an international yachting destination.
