ONE°15 Marina Hosts Successful Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) 2024

This year’s Singapore Yachting Festival 2024 highlighted Singapore's emergence as a prominent yachting hub, boasting expertise, accessibility, and top-notch infrastructure capable of hosting a raft of unique on-water exhibitions. Total number of visitors: 11,556, was significant increase on last year’s attendance rate and underscores the growing interest and demand for yachting in the region.

A total of 115 brands exhibited at the festival, and 72 yachts were on displayed in-the-water, ranged from world-renowned superyachts to electric hydro-foiling crafts. Attendees, whether seasoned boaters or newcomers, had the opportunity to explore superyachts, luxury yachts both power and sail, ancillary equipment and enjoy hands-on experiences with water toys. More than just a trade show, the festival embodied the essence of boating culture, celebrating lifestyle, luxury, freedom, and fun.

One of the premium experiences at the SYF was the rare opportunity to tour the superyachts that were on display. M/Y Galileo, the 55.7m expedition yacht is available for charter in the Maldives and Southeast Asia.This award-winning Perini Navi/Picchiotti enjoys a traditional interior with a contemporary twist, mixing neutral tones and Indonesian influences. Large volume and light-filled interiors are paired with a silent cruise and eco-minded onboard practices, including sustainably sourced products and hybrid propulsion. “It was an honour for M/Y GALILEO to participate in the Singapore Yachting Festival and we took pleasure in the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community of clients, brokers, and suppliers from the Southeast Asian region,” shared Andreas Stader, Head of Marketing at M/Y GALILEO.

M/Y SILENT WORLD a 40M superyacht that is based in Asia, and underwent an extensive in 2023, provided another unique opportunity for guests seeking a luxury yachting experience. The superyacht boasts a range of luxurious features, including a brand new 11-meter chase boat, an expansive sundeck, complete with a hot tub and dining amenities, integrated Wi-Fi, and an assortment of water toys – ensuring guests an unmatched level of comfort and entertainment onboard. In collaboration with Singaporean digital artists, niceaunties, M/Y Silent World hosted private cocktail session unveiling the exclusive art pieces. Visitors and media were invited on aboard to experience first-hand the luxury this charter yacht can offer when cruising in some of the best cruising grounds in the world.

The festival also welcomed new exhibitors this year included; Damen Yachting, ST Engineering, Yacht Sourcing, Flow Yacht Club, Asia Global Yachting, and Fischer Panda, to name a few. In addition, SYF also expanded its exhibitor categories to include private aviation, superyacht builders, luxury concierge, luxury cars and bespoke jewellery, which underscored its commitment to providing a diverse and comprehensive showcase of the yachting industry.

The Captains’ Lounge at the Singapore Yachting Festival 2024 was a great place to networking, and was open to superyacht captains, and industry professionals. Located on the 3rd floor of the Bar Nebula at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, it was sponsored by Damen Yachting, ST Engineering, and FEMA Marine, and supported by Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association, the lounge which was open daily for 2-8pm, saw presentations by Damen Yachting on their latest launches, round table discussions on the superyacht Industry, and networking sunset drinks and canapes each day. APSA members and friends were invited to participate in a shipyard tour of ST Engineering which was extremely interesting and educational.

The event hosted several VIP groups and prominent guests, which adding to SYF's allure and prestige, and several of the Who’s Who of the international superyacht community were seen partying on the back deck of the superyachts at the numerous nightly cocktail’s events,

Representatives from prestigious car clubs and private clubs were also in attendance, and included the Ferrari Owners’ Club Singapore, 67 Pall Mall, the Young President Organisation Singapore Chapter, and prominent C-suite guests, family offices, fund managers and business owners. Simpson Marine, Asia's premier yacht sales and brokerage firm, marked its 40th Anniversary in a grand celebration with the popping of a six-litre champagne bottle. “This event provides an ideal platform to showcase our exceptional range of yachts and services while connecting us with the yacht owners from all over Asia. Asa Asia’s main yachting events, it is an unmissable yearly rendezvous for visitors looking to discover more about boating and access this one-of-a-kind lifestyle. In summary, yet another vibrant edition and we are looking forward to the next one,” said Richard Allen, COO of Simpson Marine Group.

Looking ahead, SYF announced its exciting developments for the 2025 edition, which will be held from 10 to 13 April 2025, and will start later to allow the show to be run in more comfortable weather conditions. The SYF 2025 has also received overwhelming interest from a line-up of returning exhibitors looking to book their berth already and expansion plans are underway to activate land areas, extending the festival’s offerings to include categories such as waterfront properties, luxury watches, jewellery, marine equipment and many more.
