Praxis Achieves Cayman DOC Certification: Strengthening Global Yacht Safety Management

Independent professional services group Praxis has achieved a significant milestone with the international certification of its yacht safety management system, enabling it to serve commercially operating yachts over 500GT. The certification, granted through a rigorous Cayman Document of Compliance (DOC) audit, confirms that Praxis' safety management system (SMS) aligns with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code. The ISM Code is a globally recognised framework that ensures the safe operation of vessels and the prevention of pollution, adhering to rigorous maritime safety standards.

The certification bolsters Praxis' comprehensive ISM Safety Management System, an advanced online platform tailored for yacht and superyacht safety compliance. The system simplifies safety processes with features like tailored safety manuals, risk assessments, document management, incident reporting, and crew training management, all securely hosted in the EU. This streamlined approach enhances operational efficiency for yacht owners and captains.

With over five decades of expertise in yacht ownership and management services, Praxis is a well-established leader in the sector. The Cayman DOC certification allows the company to extend its operations across key maritime jurisdictions under the Red Ensign Group, including Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar, and the UK and its Crown Dependencies.
