SBIA Committee Updates and Clusters

The Singapore Boating Industry Association (SBIA) has introduced a new structure of ten industry clusters to better represent and serve the diverse sectors within Singapore’s yachting industry. This marks an important step in strengthening collaboration, sharing expertise, and developing focused initiatives across key areas such as marinas, training, services, importation, immigration and chartering.

Each cluster brings together members with shared interests and challenges, allowing them to collectively address regulatory, operational, and business issues specific to their fields. Among these new clusters, the Superyacht Cluster, this will be chaired by Simone Centola and has quickly become one of the most active. The group is dedicated to advancing Singapore’s position as a leading destination and service hub for superyachts in Asia, fostering stronger coordination between operators, management companies, and support service providers.

As an affiliated partner, the Asia Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) will also be involved with the Superyacht Cluster, where SBIA and APSA will collaborate to publish more insights and data on superyacht activity across the Southeast Asia region. This partnership aims to enhance understanding of regional trends, promote the area’s cruising potential, and strengthen the collective voice of the superyacht sector in Asia.
