Simpson Yacht Management Expands

Ever since the very beginning of Simpson Marine, which was founded in in Hong Kong in 1984, customer care has been at the heart of what the company does. Mike Simpson, founder of Simpson Marine is committed to taking care of the people they sell boats too. This includes the solid service support and after sales team structure across all the Simpson Marine offices and today the support services account for half of the company’s team. This is all done to assist yacht owners in their yachting journey, and to make sure their experience is a happy and hassle-free wherever possible.

With this in mind, the company has a range of divisions that can assist yacht owners depending on their needs and boat usage plans. These include; Yacht Management and Yacht Care, After Sales Service, Repairs, Spare Parts. Water Toys, Tender Supply, Yacht Charter Management Schemes, Yacht Re-Sale and Trade-Ins.

In recent years the Yacht Management and Yacht Care divisions have been extremely popular among yacht owners who want professional assistance and care to allow them to fully enjoy the ownership experience and preserve high value of their yachts. As a result, the fleet of yachts under Simpson Marine’s care is always growing and has now reached close to 45 yachts. Simpson Marine Yacht Management and Yacht Care fleet are able to manage all yachts that have been sold from Simpson Marine, including Sanlorenzo yachts, Lagoon sailing catamarans, Aquila power catamarans  and Fairline motor yachts. 

Reanna Wang, Group Charter Manager and Yacht Management, says, “We are very proud that the whole fleet under Simpson Marine’s care and management has grown so big. In the Hong Kong region alone, our team is managing nearly 15 Sanlorenzo yachts and there are more expected to join the fleet in the second half of 2021. The quality of services on offer has also attracted additional clientele. We are also taking care of a few bigger pre-owned yachts on request of their owners who have seen our extensive, dedicated services delivered to Sanlorenzo yachts in our fleet.”

The growing number of Sanlorenzo yachts sold into Asia is mirrored by the growth of the company’s Yacht Management division. “Following Simpson Marine’s success in Sanlorenzo yacht sales, we have been expanding in parallel as the owners want to have their yachts professionally managed and taken care of in every single aspect. This includes registration, insurance, crew recruitment and management, monthly reports, service and technical support, soft furnishings, elite concierge services including organising private events, exceptional experiences on board, water toy training and much more. We have also partnered with The Peninsula Hong Kong for a special training programme for our hostesses and yacht crew to ensure the level of service on board is up to highest possible standards. We are proud that many of the owners with yachts under our Yacht Management have created their own elite circle and refer us to their friends who are now looking at buying yachts for themselves”, adds Wang.
