The Islands of Tahiti Welcomes Superyachts
On 15 July, the islands of Tahiti reopened their borders to foreign yachts and visitors. Thanks to early measures taken by the government, and the collaborative effort of the local population, French Polynesia has only had a few active cases of COVID-19 with no casualties. The country has managed to control the spread of the pandemic and the islands of Tahiti are now COVID-19 free.
Many superyachts such as M/Y Anna, M/Y Andromeda, M/Y Dragonfly or M/Y Senses have already found shelter in the islands of Tahiti. “Since the reopening of the borders, we have had an unexpected influx of superyachts. Many owners have chosen us as a destination because they feel safe here”, says Etienne Boutin, from Tahiti Océan.
