YPI Invited to the third Edition of the "Hurun- Chinese Entrepreneurs UK Trip' in London
On the 19th of June 2017, the third «Hurun - China Entrepreneurs UK trip» kicked off in London. As one of the sponsors of the event, Yachting Partners International (YPI) had the opportunity to participate in this first day trip. Laurent Debart, CEO of YPI, carried out the «European lifestyle» forum and invited entrepreneurs to one of the world’s top private clubs for an exclusive dinner.
The London High-End Residential Market and the European Lifestyle Forum were held at ‘The Buckingham’, located opposite the Buckingham Palace. More than 20 Chinese entrepreneurs were led by Mr.Rupert Hoogewerf to attend this forum.
Yachting Partners International’s CEO Laurent Debart defined and illustrated what the «European lifestyle» might look like giving them a glimpse into the luxury yacthing experience. Laurent firstly presented a short film, and then introduced the top European shipyards’ advantages and disadvantages, as well as the history of yachting and how it has evolved. He then closed off by presenting three different styles of Superyachts and revealed some of today’s high-end yachts illustrating the exclusive lifestyle in Europe. The purpose of this entrepreneurs’ UK trip being to seek investments opportunities, Mr. Debart also mentioned that many European entrepreneurs use superyacht to entertain their clients in order to build good relationships and make deals. He then went on to invite all the entrepreneurs to attend the Monaco Yacht Show and participate in the 45th anniversary of YPI in September this year.
In the evening, with the invitation and entertainment of Mr. Hoogewerf and Mr. Debart, the Chinese entrepreneurs attended the dinner at one of the world’s top private clubs ‘Annabel’s’.
Annabel’s club was created in 1963 in the upscale community of Mayfair in London, the only club the Queen had ever visited. More than 50 years has been hailed as royal aristocratic special nightclubs, providing world-class delicacies, gala dance floor, and a magnificent environment. Annabel’s is a members-only nightclub catering to an exclusive clientele, including the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne, US President Richard Nixon, Aristotle Onassis and Frank Sinatra. Annabel’s has been the place to be for many year having countless royal dinners, Lady Gaga’s celebration, and even the all saint’s party of the Duchess of York. Here, bumping into celebrities is a common thing.
Under YPI’s hospitality, enjoying gourmet dinners and fine wine, entrepreneurs both interacted with each other and learnt about the yachting industry and experience at the same time.
