TRAINING FOR THE NAUTICAL INDUSTRY

The Italian Super Yacht Life Foundation (ISYL) provides vocational training in association with NAVIGO and the shipyards in the Viareggio district. In October 2020 three new courses will be on offer to 75 high school graduates. Courses include technical skills and opportunities, whilst providing a pathway to employment in the yachting industry, and in other strategic sectors such as logistics and tourism.

YACHTZOO JAPAN has this week listed a Japanese based 2013 Sessa C68 which has only had one careful owner and has been professionally maintained throughout its life. With only 300 hours on its Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1200 drives it is virtually new and is designed to provide owners and guests with fun and enjoyment on the water. Excellent performance in both the open sea (EU RINA Category A) and the bay the yacht has sporty lines and driving performance, maximum speed of about 36 knots.The yacht had multiple upgrades when commissioned and these options included three staterooms plus crew quarters and a downstairs lounging/TV/kids area.

New Marina Planned for Phuket

Thailand targets new economic drivers to expand its superyacht hub amid a Covid-19 downturn in tourism. The Green Port Marina project was announced at a public hearing July 31, which was attended by local administrative organisations, state officials, companies and 100 residents from Tambon Mai Khao of Thalang district, the proposed location of the Green Port Marina project.
