Andrew Chapman (GCCM COO): Member of the Order of Australia

The Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) is proud to announce that Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Chapman CMM, has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours. This prestigious recognition celebrates Andrew’s significant service to youth and the marina industries. Appointed COO of GCCM in 2022, Andrew also serves as President and Chairman of the Marina Industries Association, a role he has held for 14 years. He is a founding member of the Australian Marine Industry Advisory Group, which advises government ministers and supports the advancement of the marine sector.

Victoria Cove and Hung Hom Marine Development in Hong Kong

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has launched a study on the creation of a “Victoria Cove Area” east of Hung Hom, Hong Hong, which would transform part of the Victoria Harbour shoreline into an integrated area for entertainment, homes and business. The area covers nearly 800 hectares of land and sea, stretching from Hung Hom to Kwun Tong and fronts onto Victoria Harbour on the Kowloon side.

Bali Benoa Marina Ground Breaking Ceremony

The Bali Benoa Marina Ground Breaking Ceremony on 22 May 2025 marked a historic milestone in the development of Bali Benoa Marina, Indonesia’s first full-service luxury marina designed to support regional and international yacht tourism. Hosted by PT Marina Development Indonesia (MDI) in partnership with Pelindo, the ceremony brought together government leaders, private investors, tourism stakeholders, and media to witness the symbolic launch of a world-class maritime destination and celebrated World Boating Day in Asia.

Asia Superyacht Night (Hong Kong) 2025

The Asia Superyacht Night (Hong Kong) was a joint industry networking evening hosted by the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) and the Hong Kong Boating industry Association (HKBIA). Held at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Kellett Island on the 8 May, the event was the concluding function for the 2nd Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit (APSS) organised by SuperYacht Times.
