Thailand Yacht Show at Ocean Marina

Ocean Marina opened 27 years ago and in June it will be the host sponsor of the Thailand Yacht Show (TYS) which runs from 9 to 12 June 2022. The visionary Ocean Marina, is the largest marina in Southeast Asia – with 455 floating berths that can accommodate yachts up to 60m (200 ft).

Changes for Yacht Entry to Thailand from 1st July 2022

As of July 1st 2022, there has been a new provincial order issued by Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew on June 25th which has confirmed the easing of COVID measures for international arrivals, including visiting yachts, come into effect. It is welcome news to international visitors arriving by land, air, and sea to learn of sweeping changes to Thailand’s entry requirements.

Thailand Visa Fee Exemption Proposed

Tourism operators have reached an agreement with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to implement a visa fee exemption for international arrivals, and an eligibility extension for visitors from nations not requiring a visa to enter the country, from 30 to 45 days during the second half of this year, as reported in the Bangkok Post 12 June 2022. A joint meeting between TAT and more than 100 representatives from 10 tourism associations yesterday ended with five proposals that are expected to be presented to the subcommittee of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) next week.
