Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard further increases capacity in 2021

Most of the world started the year on a bit of an unsure foot. Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) was no different. They forged on, preparing as best they could for what 2021 might throw at them. With the lobbying to keep shipyards open as an essential service from the Marina Industry Association (MIA) back in 2020, GCCM and their 90 plus on-site marine businesses were fortunate to keep their doors open to a steadily increasing Australian marine industry.

Asia-Pacific Boating’s “Blue Planet”

Over the past year at Asia-Pacific Boating, we have continued our push to blend ocean conservation with the passion for boating and the ocean that we see in so many yacht owners. We introduced a Blue Planet section online when we relaunched the title in 2020. In 2021, we incorporated this content into a distinct section of the print magazine, in response to the overwhelmingly positive response we received from readers and advertisers alike.

Superyacht Australia Grand Soirée

Superyacht Australia is the peak body for the Australian Superyacht Industry and were the organisers of the inaugural Superyacht Australia Grand Soirée that was held in partnership with Major Partner Benetti Yachts at Jones Bay Marina on Saturday 22 February.

Australia Thailand Rendezvous Sponsored by Benetti Yachts

The inaugural Australia Thailand Rendezvous sponsored by Benetti Yachts took place last Friday 7 February, 2020, at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina in Thailand. The Rendezvous attracted 14 vessels with Captains and crews all keen to partake and receive updates on what is happening in the Australian superyacht industry and to hear about the benefits and opportunities of including Australia as a destination.

SYL Japan announces Olympic Superyacht Berths

SYL Japan has announced superyacht berths for the forthcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. SYL Japan’s official dockage are for the games will be in Yokohama, part of the Greater Tokyo metropolitan area and a short drive from many Olympic venues.
