ASMEX 2019 Conference – Wrap Up

ASMEX 2019 once again lived up to expectations delivering lively industry debate and stimulating dialogue both on stage and through active audience participation. The conference, which attracted 170 registered delegates from both Australia and 15 international locations saw an increase in attendance from closer-to-home neighbours in the Pacific Rim including Canada, Asia and New Zealand.

HKCYIA signs MOU with Voyager to promote superyacht services in HK

The Hong Kong Cruise and Yacht Industry Association (HKCYIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Voyager Risk Solutions Ltd to support its risk and insurance management services for superyachts, with full scale professional solutions that are expected to promote its upcoming initiatives in the development of the yacht and tourism industries in the Greater Bay Area.

Julian Chang joins Burgess as Senior Advisor, Asia

Burgess is delighted to announce that Julian Chang has joined the company as Senior Adviser, Asia. Julian is one of Asia’s most experienced and passionate yachtsman & yachting professional having been involved with large yachts building and broking since 1998. Over the years he advised many fellow yachtsmen on yachting matters and led various initiative to promote the yachting lifestyle in Asia. Julian is equally passionate about Ocean conservation and leads Seakeepers in Asia in addition to being a member of its global board.

Whilst the year so far has seen an industry wide decline in the number of yachts sold, these significant sales have ensured that the overall value of the yachts transacted actually exceeds that of 2018 – thanks solely to Burgess.
