APSA New Member: SeedMarine Co Ltd

SeedMarine is committed to private yacht management, staffed by young professionals dedicated to providing high-quality all-round service and appropriate industry advice. Ocean Seed SeedMarine was established in Badouzi in Keelung City, Taiwan, in 2015. As market demand grew,SeedMarine set up a base in WuShi to provide local service to owners in Yi Lan. Another base in Kaohsiung City will be set up in late 2022 or early 2023 as planned.

APSA Asia Superyacht Night 2022

The Asia Superyacht Night held on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, is APSA’s signature event and a real crowd pleaser. This year’s theme is ‘South Pacific’, celebrating the fun and friendliness of these South Seas islands. Seven sponsors have come onboard, and will be making sure that all our guests are charmed by the South Pacific vibe.

Rivergate Marina and Shipyard in Monaco

After two years of travel restrictions, the team from Rivergate Marina and Shipyard is excited to attend MYS 2022. Rivergate will be one of two Australian shipyard exhibitors at the event, joining forces with The Yard Brisbane, Brisbane Economic Development Agency and industry peak body Superaycht Australia to promote Brisbane and the Asia Pacific region as premium refit destinations.

Glenn Armstrong: Maritime Cook Islands

Glenn Armstrong has been a Director of Maritime Cook Islands (MCI) since 2005. From 2006 to 2019 he was the CEO and has now returned to being a director only. Glenn’s vision is aligned with that of MCI, to have a world class open registry for ships and yachts based in the Cook Islands. His passion for the maritime registry business and the challenge of building a great team supported by efficient systems has led to a successful operation. 2nd Thailand Charter Week – Nov 16-19

Thailand Charter Week is Asia’s premier B2B charter event for yachts and superyachts, a luxury yachting event that provides a platform to luxury charter yacht companies, set in the stunning ‘Superyacht Hub of Asia’, Phuket Island. The second edition will be held from the 16th to the 19th of November 2022 and will once again be hosted by the Phuket Yacht Haven Marina.

Sanlorenzo Sport Coupe SP110 Sold in Asia

Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, is delighted to announce that Asia’s first hull of the new 2022 model Sanloreno SP110 has been sold shortly after her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and is set for delivery in spring 2024.

Affinity Group returns to Monaco

Affinity Group was back at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 sending representatives from both the Isle of Man and Malta this year and the show had certainly returned to its previous glory after Covid. Andy Morgan, Group CEO says, “Affinity have attended Monaco Yacht Show every year since our formation 2004. We consider this show to be the most significant event in our yachting calendar.

SYBAss General Assembly

There can be few moments in the history of our superyacht industry as dynamic and as challenging as the past two years, and 2022 has continued to offer challenge and opportunity in equal measure. This dynamic and energising environment was mirrored in a dynamic and energising annual general assembly of the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss), held in Monaco on 27 September.
