This “little” yacht that can cruise far! At 33 metres, this is the smallest of the OCEA Commuter family of yachts, but it still offers amenities comparable to those of larger yachts. Designing a transoceanic yacht based on commuter boats designed for short trips on a river was no easy feat.

Road to 2030: Sanlorenzo’s Focus on Sustainability

Sanlorenzo’s ten-year strategic plan, “[Road to 2030](https://www.simpsonmarine.com/news/sanlorenzo-road-to-2030-growth-plan-with-focus-on-sustainability/)”, which has a major focus on sustainability and innovation was presented at a press conference at the recent Boot Düsseldorf show. In 2023,Sanlorenzo became the Project Partner of the Blue Innovation Dock, a Boot Düsseldorf platform that brings together voices and projects dedicated to sustainability, which is an overarching priority for the future.

Fiji A Top Tourist Destination for 2023

With brilliant blue waters, expansive coral reefs and hundreds of peaceful islands: Fiji is not a hard sell and was listed as one of CNN’s top tourist destinations for 2023. For one, the country only reopened post-Covid at the end of 2021, meaning that visitor numbers to the South Pacific paradise have yet to fully rebound.

SYL Japan Announces New Crew Regulations

SYL Japan (part of SYL worldwide which also includes SYL Florida, SYL Australia & SYL Monaco) has announced that the Japanese government has made an amendment to the Crew Pass (CP) system in Japan. Prior to 2023 a CP was issued for only 14 days and could sometimes, in certain circumstances, be extended for a further 14 days.

Starting in 2023 Beran Island will be open 12 months a year offering diving and sport fishing holidays. Burgess Partners with Starship Yachts (Hong Kong and Macau)

Burgess have signed a partnership agreement for Hong Kong and Macau, with Starship Yachts’ owner and CEO Edwin Ho, who will become Burgess’ Chief Representative for the two markets. “We are delighted to partner with Burgess as they bring exceptional expertise and experience in the superyacht market globally, which we are excited to tap and bring to our clients interested in exploring the larger yachts segment,” said Ho, who founded Starship in 1994.

On 11 March, the annual Superyacht Australia Soirée returns for its fourth year, showcasing the superyacht luxury lifestyle with a display of vessels, a Yacht Hop and unique offerings from partners and sponsors at the iconic Jones Bay Marina located in the heart of Sydney Harbour. David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia anticipates that this year’s event will be the most successful and highly attended to date.For the first time, the Soirée will partner with the International Superyacht Society to attract more international attendees now that borders have reopened and travel is relatively back on track.
