Clearvac Engineering Asia welcomes new General Manager

Clearvac Engineering Asia is pleased to announce the appointment of our new General Manager, Mr. Scott Duncanson. After another year of growth, Clearvac is excited to have Scott leading the team to implement further expansion in the SE Asia region. Scott relocated to Thailand in 1991, after completing studies as a shipwright, in Adelaide, Australia. Following in his father’s footsteps (John Duncanson, a renowned Yacht Designer) he joined a team, manufacturing commercial and military ships for the Thai navy in Chonburi, and as an instructor of computer-aided design at a technical college in Laem Chabang.

Port Denarau Marina: The First Clean Marina in the Pacific Islands

Port Denarau Marina is proud to announce that its status as the first and only accredited Clean Marina across the Pacific Islands has been renewed. Located in western Fiji, just 20 minutes’ drive from the country’s international airport in Nadi, the marina is an official port of entry to Fiji’s idyllic cruising grounds. The fast-developing marina is home to 52 fully serviced berths and 16 swing moorings, including 20 berths suitable for superyachts measuring up to 85 metres in length. On-site facilities also include a refit workshop as well as blackwater pump-out, refuelling and slip services.

Singapore Yachting Festival 2025: Open for Bookings

ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove Singapore is set to host the third edition of the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) from 10 – 13 April 2025 and the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) is again a Supporting Partner for the 2025 edition being held at One 15 Marina. Anticipating close to 13,000 visitors, SYF 2025 will boast a significant increase in exhibition and festival space, incorporating new elements including a 1000+sqm land-based exhibition hall, a dedicated superyacht zone and more on-water leisure marine activities for participation.

Thailand International Boat Show 2025

Save the date for the 2025 edition of the Thailand International Boat Show a Luxury Lifestyle Event that will take place at Phuket Yacht Haven from 9 – 12 January, 2025. Located in the north of Phuket Island, Phuket Yacht Haven is the island’s largest marina with 332 berths and can accommodate yachts of all sizes up to 100+ metres, aligning with the organisers’ plans to expand the show and welcome more boats, larger boats and superyachts.

Stad Amsterdam: World Tour 2024- 2025

The Clipper Stad Amsterdam was recently in Hong Kong as part of its two-year voyage around the world, that started in Amsterdam 2023 and finishes back in Amsterdam in time to participate in Sail Amsterdam in August 2025. APSA was delighted to catch up with an old friend from the Dutch superyacht community, Evert Van Dishoeck who is the Director for Rederij Clipper Stad Amsterdam B.V. Stad Amsterdam, the official flagship of the city of Amsterdam, and an icon of the five-yearly nautical event SAIL Amsterdam.

Chairman’s Message 28 June 2024

The first Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit 2024 was a milestone event for the Asia-Pacific superyacht community. Organised by Superyacht Times (SYT), APSA was a Supporting Partner and the Summit that was rated as an overwhelming success. With 175 local and overseas delegates in attendance there was no shortage of support for this inaugural event.
