At the start of 2024 APSA is delighted to welcome two new members. Pantaenius Sail & Motor Insurance has earned the trust of over 100,000 yacht owners worldwide, and this family-owned company has been at the forefront of yacht insurance for more than 50 years. The other new member is Roll Group, which offers yacht transport services through its fleet of versatile RollDock vessels. With specially designed, semi-submersible vessels, Roll Group prides itself on finding solutions and carrying out smaller and large yacht transports worldwide.

Sevenstar Yacht Transport on Shipping a Classic Yacht

The ability to reliably ship yachts around the globe is a prerequisite for many of today’s regattas. As with state-of-the-art racing yachts, Sevenstar recognizes that classic yachts of all sizes and descriptions need special attention.“These are unique yachts that are often similar to works of art and must be treated with the greatest of care”, says Sevenstar’s classic yacht expert Matthieu Le Bihan. Sevenstar transports roughly 3,000 yachts a year on its vessels, so the master, officers, and crew all have a clear understanding of the processes involved. In any industry, the calibre of clients is a good endorsement and Sevenstar has long-running close relationships with many owners and project managers.

CAYAGO Asia-Pacific’s New Showroom in Singapore

CAYAGO Asia Pacific started a new chapter in its APAC operation with the opening of a new showroom featuring SEABOB displays and office space at ONE˚15 Marina, Sentosa Cove in Singapore. The location allows CAYAGO Asia Pacific to enhance its presence in Asia and work more closely with partners throughout the region and to create more opportunities for the further growth for SEABOB.

Hong Seh Yachting at SYF 2024 with Ferretti Group

Rolex China Sea Race 2024

The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s Rolex China Sea Race 2024 started on Wednesday 27 March 2024. All 21 yachts got off to a clean start in the stunning Hong Kong Victoria Harbour. APSA Founder Member Peter Churchouse has been racing this offshore classic since the early 80s, and this year Moonblue 2, his custom-designed Warwick 65, is competing in the Premier Cruising division.

Horizon 2024 Open House Unveiled Four New Yachts

Horizon Yachts Open House 2024 embraced the theme “Welcome Home” and over 300 guests attended the three-day event held on March 5–7 at the Horizon Yachts Group headquarters in Kaohsiung. Owners, guests, global partners, and international press celebrated the world debut of four brand-new yachts. Over 200 guests were welcomed by Horizon Group Founder and CEO, John Lu to the Gala Dinner on the first night of the three-day event.

Benetti launch of Diamond 44m M/Y Papa Joe

On March 16th, at the historic Benetti shipyard in Viareggio,M/Y Papa Joe”, the seventh unit of Diamond 44M, took to the water during the traditional and exciting slide launching ceremony. The yacht, with external lines designed by Giorgio Maria Cassetta and interiors designed by the Benetti Style Department, will be the family boat of the owner who, collaborating closely with the Shipyard, wanted to make it his second home.

This collection of over 200 small Indonesian islands is part of the Indonesian Riau Islands Province.

Auckland Captains’ Long Lunch 2024

Rivergate Marina & Shipyard teamed up with Catalano Shipping Services New Zealand to host the 2024 Auckland Captains’ Long Lunch at Homeland Dining Room, superbly located on the waterfront at Viaduct Harbour in the heart of the marine precinct. A diverse group of 26 international Captains, industry proponents, and agents, along with Steve Fisher, Alex Binks, and Sarah Toxward from Rivergate, gathered for an appetizing lunch featuring the freshest local seafood and regional produce.
