New APSA Member: BSM Yachting

The yachting industry is experiencing steady growth, which is coming along with increasing requirements for highly professional management services. At the same time, the owners of sophisticated luxury yachts are confronted with new challenges, as the interest in environmental friendliness as well as technical developments, such as automation and smart technologies, is rising. Newly formed yacht management company BSM Yachting, member of the Schulte Group, is aiming to bring the yacht ownership experience to a new level in today’s complex environment.

APSA’s Asia Superyacht Night brings Island Vibes to Monaco

Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) hosted its signature event, ‘the Asia Superyacht Night’ on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show 2023. APSA was pleased to be able to welcome 200 APSA members and guests to this invitation-only event, held on the rooftop of the Novotel Monaco. A ‘must do’ party for the Asia-Pacific superyacht community, the evening was a great mix of new and long-term APSA members, VIP industry professionals, and potential members all of whom enjoyed the relaxed Island vibe.

Ferretti Group celebrates 60 years of CRN

The Ferretti Group celebrated 60 years of CRN during the Monaco Yacht Show. where they had seven magnificent yachts on display including the Riva 130’ Bellissima, Custom Line Navetta 42, Custom Line 140’, Pershing GTX116, Pershing 140, wallywhy200 and wallypower58. To mark this special anniversary, CRN obtained Sustainable Powered Yacht (SuP-Y) certification thanks to a sustainable technology that entails the installation of modern fuel cells on board a superyacht.

Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard Partners with SeaKeepers

Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM), recently announced its partnership with The International SeaKeepers Company (SeaKeepers), a non-profit organization that promotes oceanographic research, conservation, and education through direct involvement with the yachting community. GCCM is the first shipyard and the second marina in Australia to form a partnership in marine conservation with SeaKeepers. “GCCM’s commitment to continued environmental improvement has set the benchmark for Marina’s worldwide and we are very excited to partner with SeaKeepers”, said Andrew Chapman CMM, Chief Operating Officer. “As an accredited Clean Marina and Fish Friendly Marina, GCCM are very committed to this goal. By partnering with SeaKeepers, we can help raise awareness of the importance of ocean conservation to our boaties.”

APSA Guide 2023-2024 Launched in Monaco

Throughout 2023, APSA has been focused on reconnecting with the Asia-Pacific superyacht community, and with Asian yacht shows and conferences back on the calendar, it is proving to be a busy year. The organic growth of APSA continues to be extremely positive, and several new members have joined in 2023.

APSA Chairman’s Message 6 September 2023

As summer finishes the superyacht scene hots up. Next on APSA’s calendar is Monaco, where I look forward to catching up with members at the AGM and the APSA Asia Superyacht Night on 26 September. You will be receiving email notifications for both events. I will also be attending Cannes Yachting Festival on certain days, and I know that a few of our members will be attending or exhibiting. Australia-Fiji Rendezvous 2023

Twenty-one Australian industry representatives travelled to Port Denarau, Fiji to participate in the third annual Australia-Fiji Rendezvous sponsored by Benetti Yachts and held on August 25, 2023. Ten superyachts were in attendance on the day, however due to the busy season in Fiji a total of 19 superyachts were engaged during the three days that included the locally organized Superyacht Gathering. All vessels were eager to receive updates on visiting Australia, with most planning on travelling to either Australia or New Zealand for maintenance and refit work in the next two months.
