The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is the peak body supporting recreational and commercial marinas, yacht clubs, boatyards and industry suppliers in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. MIA works in support of developing sustainable marina industries through the delivery of strong leadership, education, accreditation, and research.

The MIA has over 370 corporate members and connects over 2,000 industry leaders and decision makers throughout the region. MIA membership comprises in excess of 85% of the major Australian marinas as well as an increasing number of members from overseas, including NZ, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

MIA’s mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry through the promotion of marinas and the provision of education, environmental accreditation and research programs and policies. This is done in conjunction with the Global Marina Institute and the various State Boating Industry Associations, and MIA is now an Affiliate Association member with the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA).
