APSA Chairman’s Message – 31 August 2026

Dear APSA Members and Friends,

It’s party time! The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Night invitations have been sent out to over 250 APSA members and sponsors’ guests. Monaco is the holy grail for the superyacht industry, and this year is a special occasion for APSA as we celebrate our 15th anniversary on the 22nd of September, 2026. The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Night is a relaxed and fun way to lead into the Monaco Yacht Show. All members and guests have been issued with their individual QR code for entry, so if you have not received yours please let us know.

Monaco is the holy grail for the superyacht industry, and this year is a special occasion for APSA as we celebrate our 15th anniversary.

News From Around the Region

The Asia-Pacific region has been in the headlines over the summer with a feature story in Damen Yachting’s Finest Moments (Summer Publication) which highlights the strategic relevance of Southeast Asia for the superyacht community, as more owners look east as part of a wider ownership experience.

Hong Kong’s Skytopia is pleased to announce their project has been given the green light by the Hong Kong Government to proceed with works for Skytopia’s water recreation and Yacht Bay development, with construction tentatively scheduled for 2027–2030. China’s Greater GBA industry gathered for the “Guangzhou-Hong Kong Synergy: Building a Bay Area Yachting Ecosystem” forum that was organized by the Guangzhou Nanshangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation Consultative Committee.

Singapore Boating Industry Association (SBIA) recently met for their AGM and Chairman Arthur Tay will be in Monaco to promote the work of the SBIA and the Singapore Yachting Festival. Singapore’s strength as a superyacht hub lies in its maintenance and refit capabilities which are key for the growth of the industry in the SEA region.

In the Pacific the Australia Fiji Rendezvous combined industry networking with vibrant social events, and the programme started with a Marina Mingle at Nawi Island, followed by the Echo Yachts Captains’ Lunch, and concluded with the Investment Fiji-sponsored Crew Cocktail Competition and Australian-Themed Networking Party.

Looking ahead several APSA members will be exhibiting in Cannes and Monaco. APSA will only be in Monaco this year where several APSA members are exhibiting both on and off the water and include Asia Pacific Superyachts, Bali Gapura Marina, Benetti, Burgess, Cayman Island Registry, Damen Yachting, Echo Yachts, Ferretti, Fraser, Gulf Craft, Horizon Yachts, JMS Yachting, Nautor Swan, Pantaenius, Setouchi DMO, Seabob, Sanlorenzo, Sunreef Yachts, Superyacht Australia and YACHTZOO.
