TheAsia-Pacific Superyacht Summit (APSS) will be held 7-8 May 2026 and will be hosted at La Suite Kobe Oceans Garden in Kobe, Japan. The APSS brings together owners, operators and industry stakeholders to examine how the Asia-Pacific market is evolving, with a particular focus on regulatory developments, operational realities and long-term growth potential across the region.
Japan, which has not traditionally been viewed as a yachting nation or destination, is home to more than 21,000 ultra-high-net-worth individuals, underlining its longer-term relevance within the global superyacht market and providing important context for the summit’s 2026 location.
Patron Sponsor for the Summit Fema Marinespecialises in yacht surveying and management services, providing independent technical support to owners, purchasers, legal advisors and underwriters worldwide. The company is based in Switzerland, and is experienced in yacht management, survey, purchase transactions, insurance claims, refit oversight and repairs and appraisals, and brings to the table extensive experience across a wide range of yacht types and operational scenarios.
In addition, the company acts as a flag representative for several state maritime authorities. Fema Marine is authorised to carry out ISM and ISPS compliance on behalf of the Malta and Antigua and Barbuda flag administrations, and also with its MLC certification, provides crew recruitment, crew management, and payroll services.
Damen Yachtingwill return as Event Partner. Commenting on the importance of the event, Sarah Flavell, Marketing Manager at Damen Yachting, said: “Supporting this summit reflects our recognition that this region carries a future worth investing in. To undervalue the importance of the Asia-Pacific over the coming decades would be a mistake. As interest in larger yacht ownership continues to grow and an increasing number of superyachts operate in these waters, theSummitplays an important role in bringing together key decision-makers, and supporting the collaboration, education and knowledge sharing essential to the region’s development.”
As Japan continues to open its markets to international superyacht traffic, and to expand its marina and service infrastructure, thesummitwill examine how the country is positioning itself within the wider Asia-Pacific yachting landscape, alongside broader regulatory, operational and investment trends across the region.
