Konpira Yacht Services is the largest boat agent in Japan, supporting 40-50 vessels/year and providing comprehensive assistance to meet the needs of superyacht owners, guests, captains, and crew. The company’s founder/president, Kirk Patterson, spent six years cruising Japan on his own boat and so can help clients and helps them get off the beaten track and experience the real Japan. The company tailors their services to the interests and needs of each client, and opens Japan’s oceans to visitors from around world.
The founder Kirk Patterson is a Canadian who has lived in Japan for over 30 years and can speak and read Japanese fluently. In 2012- 2013, he sailed solo from Canada to Japan then doing the first full Japan circumnavigation by a foreigner. Konpira Yacht Services is proud to have been asked by the Japan Ocean Cruising Club to assume the operation of the Setouchi Yacht Rally (SYR). We look forward to continuing its tradition of fostering friendships among domestic and international cruisers and of contributing to each of the local communities where the Rally stops.
