APSA Chairman’s Message — 30 April 2026

30 April 2026

Dear APSA Members and Friends,

Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit — Kobe, Japan

There is plenty happening in Asia, and the next event on the schedule is the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit (APSS) in Kobe, Japan next week. Superyacht industry leaders, businesses and a few superyacht owners will be travelling from all over the world to Kobe.

APSA is a Supporting Partner of the APSS and over 10 APSA members are sponsoring the Summit. APSA will also be hosting the APSS Closing Party on 8 May, and all APSA members and guests are welcome.

Thanks to our title sponsors YACHTZOO and Creation Co., Ltd, and Gold Sponsors Damen Yachting | Amels, Bali Gapura Marina and Gulf Craft. APSA is also well represented at the summit, with 16 APSA members in attendance, including myself, speaking at the conference.

A Record-Breaking Singapore Yachting Festival

The recent Singapore Yachting Festival attracted a record number of visitors, which bodes well for the region.

“The response to this year’s Singapore Yachting Festival reflects rising confidence in Southeast Asia’s yachting market and Singapore’s role within it. We exceeded our target visitor numbers by 20%, and doubled the number of participating brands, underscoring the festival’s growing relevance as a platform for international yacht brands.”

— Arthur Tay, Chairman and CEO, SUTL Group

Damen Yachting | Amels hosted the Women in Yachting Singapore lunch during the SYF, celebrating the growing influence and leadership of women across our industry, and APSA hosted a Superyacht Captain’s Lunch in cooperation with Echo Yachts and Superyacht Australia.

Member News from Monaco

Other member news this month includes a report from APSA Committee member Gordon Fernandes, co-founder of Asia Pacific Superyachts, who attended the inaugural Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting Rendezvous hosted by Yacht Club de Monaco, in partnership with The Explorers Club of New York.

“The Rendezvous brought together leading international figures for the conferences, exchanges, and on-the-water events. The four days were of tremendous value and will be a source of inspiration in the days ahead.”

What Keeps Yachting Moving

During the Palm Beach Boat Show, Tim Davey, CEO of GMT — Global Marine Travel, was interviewed by Yachting International Radio, where he gave insights into what actually keeps superyachts moving around the world.

Yacht crew travel remains largely unseen when it functions as intended, yet it underpins every successful operation in ways that are difficult to quantify but impossible to ignore.

SEA Yachting Conference — Sentosa Cove

The SEA Yachting Conference held 21–22 April 2026 was another success story. Hosted by APSA member ONE°15 Marina at Sentosa Cove, it saw several APSA members presenting, and APSA was also a Supporting Partner for networking activities at the Superyacht Lounge sponsored by Damen Yachting.

Collaboration and cooperation were the key words at the conference — so watch this space as APSA continues to grow and connect the superyacht community in the region.

Save the Date: Asia Superyacht Night, Monaco

Remember to Save the Date: Tuesday 22 September 2026 for the Asia Superyacht Night in Monaco. It is going to be a very special night as APSA celebrates its 15th Anniversary. As always, it will be a night to remember!
