Dear APSA Members and Friends. This is the last newsletter for 2023, and it ushers in major changes for the Asian region with SanLorenzo signing a binding share purchase agreement to acquire 95% of Simpson Marine Ltd. This month we welcome new member Pacific Maritime Lawyers from Queensland. The Horizon Yacht Australia Owners’ Rendezvous brought 10 Horizon yachts and 100 guests to Airlie Beach. HFW’s ‘Comprehensively Yachts: Industry Briefing 2023’ provides topical analysis including sanctions, American Yacht Form R12, and cybersecurity. APSA member Dörries Yachts unveiled renderings for a 70m concept, Rise, and StellarPM announced its StellarRefit Service. APSA has been busy with events across Dubai, Singapore, Turkey, Monaco, Fort Lauderdale, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong, and the next event will be the Thailand Yachting Conference on 10 January 2024 followed by the Thailand International Boat Show 11–14 January.
