As 2025 draws to a close, Australia’s superyacht builder Echo Yachts reflects on a milestone year marked by innovative projects, major achievements, and a strong presence at leading international and national industry events. The shipyard’s latest newbuild, the ASC58 – a 58-metre sailing catamaran, is already generating global excitement. Set to be a world-first, the vessel will feature twin Dynarig automated masts and sails, delivering true zero-emission cruising under sail via its advanced trawling propellers, shaft-generator system, and integrated battery bank. Alongside its newbuild activity, Echo Yachts successfully completed a series of superyacht refit and maintenance projects throughout the year, with additional projects slated for 2026.

Fema Marine Fleet Refits

Fema Marine presently has five superyachts at the Palumbo SY shipyard in Marseille, undergoing maintenance and refit, and the highly professional Fema Marine team is on site throughout the refit process. Alfa Nero, Moca, Axioma, Sarastar and La Blanca are all being ‘cared for’. Metin Celep, Fema Marine Sales and Marketing Manager, notes,“Three of the largest boats in our fleet — Sarastar, La Blanca and Moca – have undergone major refits. Main engines, shafts, propellers and other major systems are being fully maintained and repaired at Palumbo SY, in coordination with our team on site. Each yacht is receiving a full re-paint; all main and auxiliary systems are undergoing maintenance and repair, and all large and important operations are carried out with the ultimate care.”

International Charter Expo (ICE) 2024

The International Charter Expo know as ICE 24 Expo is a B2B Charter show that puts people first with its matchmaking software that allows exhibitors and attendees to pre-arrange meetings in advance of the show. Now in its ninth edition the event was relocated from Croatia to Amsterdam this year ahead of METSTRADE running from the13-15 November.
