Set Sail on May 24, 2025: Register Now for World Boating Day

World Boating Day, an international open day for the entire leisure boating industry already spanning over 9 countries in 2024, is already on its way to grow bigger in its Second Edition. On May 24th, 2025, the Superyacht Life Foundation – who coordinates the entire campaign, is inviting businesses, foundations and yacht crew from within the boating and yachting industries to open their doors for a “glocal” celebration. World Boating Day 2025 is championed by over 37 industry organisations, across the world, and its message is carried by 6 country-specific ambassadors.

Southeast Asia Yachting Conference 2025

Industry leaders headlined the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (SEAYC) that saw 200 plus delegates attending the two-day programme (8-9 April, 2025). Organised by ONE°15 Events and hosted at ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove, Singapore, the conference began with a Keynote Panel Address by Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut|Benetti Group, and Arthur Tay, Chairman and CEO of SUTL Group and ONE°15 Marina, that was led by MC, Wicky Sundram. Valle highlighted the untapped potential of the region, and Tay who has established first-class marinas in Asia believes that it is quality as well aligned marina developments will benefit the yachting industry’s development in the region.

Port Louis Marina hosts Oyster World Rally 2025

Port Louis Marina recently hosted an incredible gathering of the highly esteemed Oyster World Rally 2025, with a total number of 21 yachts in the fleet this year, and circa 70 owners and crew onboard. Port Louis Marina in collaboration with the Victory Bar and the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), organised two fantastic drinks receptions to welcome the Oyster Yachts.

Global Marine Travel Hosts Oasis Lounge

Global Marine Travel is sponsoring the Oasis Lounge at this year’s Palm Beach Yacht Show along with Dockwalk,Yacht Chandler’s, Derecktor Shipyard, Engineered Yacht Solutions and Shipyard Supply. The lounge gives captains and crew a casual spot away from the bustle of the show to have a drink and a bite to eat, and catch up with friends. This is the Palm Beach show debut for the lounge, which will be similar to the Oasis Lounge at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. From 2025,Dockwalk will also partner with GMT at the FLIBS lounge.

Japan International Boat Show 2025

The Japan International Boat Show (JIBS) is a four-day event being held across three venues (20-23 March 2025). The Pacifico Yokohama will showcase over 190 exhibitors, including the latest models by Japanese shipyards, marinas, marine equipment, water toys and luxury cars; the Yokohama Bayside Marina has 53 yachts on display in-water, including international brands of both power and sail; and finally, the Hakkeijima Marina Venue offers sea-themed experience programmes that can be enjoyed by both parents and children.

Indonesia’s Marine Tourism Strategies

The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is working to reform the local travel and tourism industry, outlining key strategies tol focus on attracting high-spending travellers and developing high-value tourism products, as reported in a TTG Asia article published March 7th. Rizki Handayani, MoT’s deputy for industry and investment, highlighted the government’s efforts to make tourism a priority sector at the Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association (IHRA) national conference. “We must provide products that resonate with high-value travellers,” she said, adding that the ministry is prioritising wellness, gastronomy, and marine tourism to cater to current travel trends.
