Affinity Group returns to Monaco

Affinity Group was back at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 sending representatives from both the Isle of Man and Malta this year and the show had certainly returned to its previous glory after Covid. Andy Morgan, Group CEO says, “Affinity have attended Monaco Yacht Show every year since our formation 2004. We consider this show to be the most significant event in our yachting calendar.

Over this time, we have found the event to be an invaluable experience to showcase Affinity as a leading multi-jurisdictional bespoke Corporate Service Provider. Our yachting team members meet with our key partners in the sector and networked to form new relationships with many of the most prestigious law firms, shipyards, brokers, and professionals across the industry.

This year we partnered with Isle of Man Maritime and had the pleasure to represent the Isle of Man as a leading jurisdiction. With the opportunity to present Temporary Admission structures via the Isle of Man post Brexit, we have welcomed a significant amount of new business to the island. Our yachting team members from Malta and Cayman also attended and represented both jurisdictions as leading global maritime hubs. Our company ethos is centred on providing a personal service to our clients; therefore, it is very important for us to meet in person with our many of our loyal intermediaries. As always, we found it to be a very worthwhile trip and are looking forward to returning next year.’

Kate Shaw, Senior Client Administrator said, “this year Affinity didn’t have its own stand as we have for nearly ten years!  Instead, we took advantage of the hospitality of our friends at Isle of Man Maritime, and were delighted to join them as stand partners.  We very much wanted to join them in getting behind the Isle of Man as a centre of excellence in yachting. Not being shackled to own stand this year gave us the opportunity to get out and about to meet both existing and new connections.  It was great to see some faces we have not seen for a while, or at all, and shake hands with the fantastic individuals we work with across the banking, legal, crewing and VAT sectors, to name a few.”

Affinity came away from the MYS fulfilled and excited for the year ahead, with some truly valuable relationships. The Affinity Team would like to thank everyone they met for making it a really special event.
