Quarantine free International Superyacht Arrivals

Superyachts 153° are very excited to be agents for one of first quarantine free International Superyacht arrivals into Australia since borders were closed, in March 2020. The 62.5m vessel with 15 crew onboard arrived into NSW, Australia mid-November and thanks to great communication with NSW Health, Australian Border Force and Superyacht Australia, as well as efficient communication from the Captain, exemptions from quarantine on arrival were granted.

The Asia Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) is ten years old. This young Association that has played an active role in promotion of the Asia-Pacific to the global superyacht community as one of the world’s three main cruising regions. As well as promoting Asian yacht businesses to the global superyacht community, and connecting to the worldwide yacht businesses that want to do business in Asia.

APSA Guide 10th Anniversary Edition 2021

APSA is 10 years young, and the Asia-Pacific region is definitely on the superyacht map. First-time Asian buyers are taking the plunge, which means there are now more superyacht owners in the region. The combination of great cruising destinations, experienced yacht agents, and top-level refit and repair facilities will see more yachts heading this way.

South East Asia Reopening to International Superyachts

The islands of South East Asia, home to many Superyachts’ favourite destinations, have been challenged for the past year and a half as Covid-19 and ensuing pandemic closed many borders. Time and again plans to reopen popular hotspots in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the Andaman Islands have been put on hold.

GGCM Establishes a Circular Economy

The award-winning Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) is yet again setting standards in the marina industry. After partnering with the Centre for a Waste Free world at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), the “Closing the Loop” project was established in July of this year and will ultimately lead to a circular economy within the Gold Coast based shipyard.

Lagoon SEVENTY 8 Sold into Hong Kong

Simpson Marine are delighted to announce the recent sale of a Lagoon motor Catamaran the SEVENTY 8 Flaghip – into Hong Kong, with expected delivery due in Summer 2022. The Lagoon SEVENTY 8 will add to the growing fleet of Lagoon catamarans in the city with an example of nearly every model now based in Hong Kong, including the popular Lagoon 40, Lagoon 42, Lagoon 46, Lagoon 50 and the recently arrived SIXTY 5.
