Dubai International Boat Show 2024

Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) announced a long-term partnership with host venue Dubai Harbour. New agreement offers Dubai International Boat Show and the global yachting community great opportunities for growth. After four days of buzz, excitement, energy, and buoyant boat sales, the 30th edition of the DIBS has secured a long-term home and will fast-track the momentum of Dubai as one of the world’s most attractive yachting destinations.

Horizon 2024 Open House Unveiled Four New Yachts

Horizon Yachts Open House 2024 embraced the theme “Welcome Home” and over 300 guests attended the three-day event held on March 5–7 at the Horizon Yachts Group headquarters in Kaohsiung. Owners, guests, global partners, and international press celebrated the world debut of four brand-new yachts. Over 200 guests were welcomed by Horizon Group Founder and CEO, John Lu to the Gala Dinner on the first night of the three-day event.

Benetti launch of Diamond 44m M/Y Papa Joe

On March 16th, at the historic Benetti shipyard in Viareggio,M/Y Papa Joe”, the seventh unit of Diamond 44M, took to the water during the traditional and exciting slide launching ceremony. The yacht, with external lines designed by Giorgio Maria Cassetta and interiors designed by the Benetti Style Department, will be the family boat of the owner who, collaborating closely with the Shipyard, wanted to make it his second home.

Superyachts Growing Interest in Asia-Pacific

Global charterers and superyacht Owners and Captains along with Charter companies have been shifting their focus from traditional cruising grounds in search of more exotic cruising destinations.“As the late September Mediterranean summer cruising season ends, increasingly some yachts that traditionally travel to the Caribbean for the winter are coming eastward to elongate the charter season and enjoy Asia Pacific’s warmth and beautiful islands”, reports Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) co-founder, Captain Scott Walker.

Indonesia’s Anambas Islands: A Top Cruising Destination

The Anambas Islands Archipelago in Indonesia is now being recognised as a new and exceedingly attractive South China Sea cruising destination, thanks to a huge improvement in facilities and the ease of clearing yachts in and out. This collection of over 200 small Indonesian islands is part of the Indonesian Riau Islands Province.

Benetti’s Latest Motopanfilo 37m

Benetti’s latest unit of Motopanfilo 37M, BMP007 will be delivered to her owner in March 2024. With its timeless design inspired by the “navette” of the 1960s, the exterior lines of the Motopanfilo 37M are designed by Francesco Struglia in collaboration with the shipyard, and the interior design is by Lazzarini Pickering Architects.

Auckland Captains’ Long Lunch 2024

Rivergate Marina & Shipyard teamed up with Catalano Shipping Services New Zealand to host the 2024 Auckland Captains’ Long Lunch at Homeland Dining Room, superbly located on the waterfront at Viaduct Harbour in the heart of the marine precinct. A diverse group of 26 international Captains, industry proponents, and agents, along with Steve Fisher, Alex Binks, and Sarah Toxward from Rivergate, gathered for an appetizing lunch featuring the freshest local seafood and regional produce.

April sees the return of the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) after a highly successful inaugural event in 2023. The SYF will take place 25-28 April 2024 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. With over 70 yachts on display and an abundance of F&B, entertainment, and immersive activities on offer, visitors will be able to fully engage in the yachting lifestyle. APSA is a Supporting Partner for the SYF, and we look forward to welcoming superyachts to the event this year. Horizon Yachts Returns to Sanctuary Cove

Horizon Yachts announced its participation in the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show on May 23–26, 2024. Two brand new FD builds globally premiered at the 2024 Horizon Open House, and the first V74 customized for the Australian market will share the stage on Pier G. Alongside the FD90 and FD80, and the crowd favourite V74, there will be a range of brokerage yachts.

Port Denarau CEO Cynthia Rasch told Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) recently that these enhancements aim to enhance the overall experience for yacht owners, crew members, and visitors, solidifying Port Denarau’s status as a premier yachting destination and a bustling tourist hub.
