World Boating Day 2026 – Vision and Guidelines

The boating industry is preparing once again for World Boating Day 2026 – a global initiative designed to increase visibility, strengthen public understanding, and showcase the value of our industry sector. Across the world, organisations will open their doors and offer hands-on experiences to the public. In 2025, 18 countries hosted over 100 events and reached more than 21 million people online. Launched by The Superyacht Life Foundation, it aims to unite the industry, attract new talent, and share the passion for boating with a wider audience through tours, interactive experiences, and expert insights.

UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)

GMT Global Marine Travel sends a reminder that the UK government has made some recent changes immigration rules – among these changes is the requirement for ETA for travel to the UK. The United Kingdom Electronic Travel Authorisation (UK ETA) is an official travel permit introduced by the British government for nationals of visa-exempt countries. This authorization is mandatory for eligible travellers and must be obtained prior to visiting the UK for purposes such as tourism, family visits, business, transit, or certain Creative Worker activities.

Indies Trader: Beran Island Update

Beran Island has been a hive of activity at the start of 2025. Reo Stevens coaching has been hosting a private island group of wind sports enthusiasts. With the North Pacific kicking into gear in earnest and the storm activity flowing west to east has started on a more southerly trend and the island has been lighting up for the 12 lucky guests who have the Atoll and all the marine toys to themselves this past week.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) presented the Airport City blueprint to the business community at a major event today as the new brand of the development, “SKYTOPIA”, was unveiled. The event showcased the development potential and investment opportunities at “SKYTOPIA”, with themed exhibition zones introducing the major projects, attracting over 300 business leaders from Hong Kong, Mainland and international business community.
