Dear APSA Members and Friends

APSA continues to strengthen its presence in both Asia and Europe, and through its strategic partnerships with local and international events. In November APSA attended the International Charter Expo (ICE), The Superyacht Forum (TSF), METSTRADE and the Yacht Racing Forum (YRF) in Amsterdam, along with the Pilot Opening Ceremony for Bali Gapura Marina in Bali, Indonesia.
Asia is playing an increasingly important role in the development of the superyacht industry (both motor and sail), and Asia’s emerging markets are providing a new generation of potential yacht owners and charter guests. The region is attracting an increasing number of international superyachts to explore some of the best cruising grounds on the planet, and there are several conferences, and boat shows in the region at which industry professionals can network, while potential superyacht owners can go onboard and see luxury yachts first-hand.
Winding up 2025 is the Hong Kong International Boat Show (4-7 Dec), and then 2026 starts with a bang at the Thailand Yachting Conference (14 Jan) and Thailand International Boat Show (15 – 18 Jan), the inaugural Sydney Charter Show (22 – 23 Feb), and the Australian Superyacht Conference (24 Feb).
Down the track in March is South & East Asia’s biggest yacht show the Japan International Boat Show (19 – 22 Mar), April is the SEA Yachting Conference (21-22 Apr) and the Singapore Yachting Festival (23-26 Apr), followed in May by the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit (7-8 May) being held for the first time in Kobe, Japan, and organised by Superyacht Times in conjunction with Supporting Partners: Superyacht Base Kobe, Setouchi DMO, and APSA.
One of the main benefits of APSA being proactively engaged with the global and regional superyacht events is the opportunity that it provides to engage with superyacht captains and owners, and to be able to promote the cruising region and the services of APSA members. It is APSA first-hand knowledge that sets it apart and provides members with up-to-date and relevant information.
APSA’s remit is to promote the Asia-Pacific cruising grounds, along with the Asia-Pacific based businesses who want to connect to the global superyacht community and the international superyacht companies who want to connect to Asia. If you are interested in joining APSA please contact Suzy Rayment (Executive Director) at marketing@apsuperyacht.com
Thanks again to all the APSA members for your support and there is so much news this month that it will be split into two newsletters! As the year winds down, hopefully we can enjoy some time on the water! Safe sailing – and the deadline for the December Newsletter is 18 December so please keep us posted with your news!
Best Regards
Nigel Beatty (Chairman, APSA)
