Clear Waves, Benetti’s 70-metre megayacht, makes wellness a fundamental element of the design. A project born from the dialogue between different areas of expertise: Benetti, LUCA DINI Design & Architecture and The Longevity Suite.
Benetti unveils Clear Waves, a 70-metre megayacht developed through a collaboration between LUCA DINI Design & Architecture and The Longevity Suite. “If Benetti’s Oasis Deck® has redefined the relationship between the yacht and the sea, with Clear Waves the yacht looks to the sky and to the human being. The starting point is the individual and, in particular, the principles of longevity,” explains Sebastiano Vida, Head of Product at Benetti.
The concept is built around five pillars, environment, movement, social connection, mental and spiritual wellbeing, and technology, which come together in the project in a holistic approach.
The Evolution of Space
While wellness areas are traditionally incorporated into a preset layout, with Clear Waves the paradigm is reversed: the entire yacht is designed around the physical and mental wellbeing of the individual. Wellness is not limited to a specific moment or space, but extends to every aspect of life on board: purified air, maximum comfort during sleep, and the study of colour schemes for different times of the day.
Architecture also plays a key role. Clear Waves overturns the traditional spatial arrangement of yachts: the wellness area, generally located on the lower deck, becomes the focal point of the yacht’s most prestigious area: the upper deck. Natural plants frame a space featuring relaxation areas, a dedicated food & beverage island, hot and cold water circuits, and state-of-the-art treatment technologies.
The Glass Dome: A Regenerative Biosphere
The focal point of Clear Waves is the Glass Dome, representing the ultimate expression of technology applied to wellbeing. A monumental 400-square-metre glass structure, self-sufficient in terms of energy supply. Spanning two decks, it offers an uninterrupted 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape and creates a visual connection between indoors and outdoors, bringing natural light and the surrounding environment into the heart of the onboard experience, from sunrise to sunset and through to the starry skies at night.
The Glass Dome is designed to generate the energy required for its own operation while overcoming the thermal and energy-management challenges posed by extensive glass surfaces. More than 60% of its surface incorporates translucent photovoltaic panels. The glass features low-emissivity properties, filters infrared radiation and protects against UV rays.
Air is continuously filtered and the temperature regulated through a direct-expansion HVAC system featuring Capacity on Demand technology. The geometry of the dome itself regulates ventilation and activates natural air circulation through the stack effect, complemented by floor-level air intake to prevent direct draughts and maintain a consistent microclimate. Throughout the project, every element, light, air, water and sound, has been studied and refined to deliver an advanced level of comfort.

The Longevity Suite: The Science of Wellbeing
Clear Waves draws on the expertise of The Longevity Suite, one of the leading names in the field of longevity and wellbeing.

Clear Waves therefore offers a combined programme of personalised assessments and biohacking and recovery technologies, including Cryosuite Total Body, Dry Floating, Near Infrared Therapy, Hydrogen-Oxygen Therapy and Revital Chamber, designed to support recovery, energy, relaxation and overall physical and mental wellbeing.
Engineering and Propulsion with a Focus on Awareness
The focus on the individual naturally extends to respect for the marine environment. For Sebastiano Vida: “The Clear Waves project stems from a profound intuition: if sustainability means taking care of the environment, longevity means taking care of the individual over time. From this perspective, sustainability and longevity become two sides of the same coin. The engineering of Clear Waves thus charts a course towards the future, in perfect continuity with our Green Route – the research programme through which Benetti has been developing concrete solutions for environmental sustainability for more than twenty years – with this project marking a new chapter.”
This commitment translates into an advanced hybrid configuration with a dual-fuel system, ready for HVO biofuel and methanol, already validated by Lloyd’s Register and developed in collaboration with Meccano Engineering. Complementing this, an advanced Power Management System coordinates power generation, storage and consumption on board.
The more than 250 square metres of solar panels installed contribute to onboard power supply, with a capacity of up to 120 kWh. The project also incorporates systems for heat recovery, water treatment and emissions control, as part of an overall approach to efficiency and sustainability.
