This year marked the first Monaco Yacht Show under the expanded campaign announced by Superyacht Australia and the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) in June 2026. It broadens the focus from Australia and the South Pacific to embrace the full breadth of the Asia-Pacific.
On the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, APSA hosted its signature event and this year over 280 APSA members, sponsors and guests enjoyed a relaxing networking evening, poolside at the Novotel Monaco. Vice Chairman Christophe Cheard welcomed guests and explained, “that this is where it all started a few years back with a handful of members and now APSA has now grown to be a strong voice for the Asia-Pacific region.”
Presentations were made by Patron Sponsor FEMA Marine (Alaettin Sevim), Destination Sponsors: Superyacht Australia (David Good) and Skytopia /Hong Kong Airport Authority (Cissy Chan) and Platinum Sponsor Singapore Yachting Festival/Singapore Boating Industry Association (Arthur Tay).
Patron Sponsor representative Alaettin Sevim (FEMA Marine) said, “FEMA Marine is a long-term supporter of APSA and believes the Asia-Pacific is key area for superyacht growth. It’s a great opportunity to meet other professionals who are looking to grow the superyacht industry in the Asia-Pacific.”
Cissy Chan, Executive Director (Commercial) of the Airport Authority Hong Kong presented the Skytopia project and its new airport marina development. “The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Night serves as the ideal global stage to invite international partners into the next phase of SKYTOPIA’s evolution.
David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia commented that, “Marketing the Asia-Pacific together at Monaco certainly draws more interest and showcases the incredible variety of culture and cruising grounds on offer, all supported by outstanding maintenance, refit and service providers that give captains, fleet managers and owners the confidence to deploy their vessels to our region.”
SBIA Chairman Arthur Tay said, “Singapore is a key superyacht hub for the SEA region, and its strength lies in its world-class berthing, maintenance and refit capabilities. I am here to promote the work of SBIA, and the annual Singapore Yachting Festival that is hosted at ONE15 Marina.”
Superyacht Australia united with Echo Yachts, Bali Gapura Marina and Skytopia this year to co-host the Asia Pacific Stand at the show and promote the Asia-Pacific to an international audience as one unified cruising region, highlighting its diverse cruising grounds and the strength of its refit and maintenance capability. In attendance and exhibiting on the Stand were Maritime Cook Islands, Rivergate Marina & Shipyard, The Superyacht People, Tax Navigate, 3Beaches Textiles, Torrens Luxury Collection, Tahiti Tourisme, Acutec Systems, Australian Superyachts, and Oceania Marine Shipyard.
Australia’s Great Barrier Reef also generated significant interest on the stand, following the recent visits of MY Octopus and SY Koru to the region. Nathan Tomlinson of Oceania Marine Shipyard in New Zealand, commented, “It was a great experience representing Oceania Marine in Monaco alongside the wider Asia Pacific group. Being part of the stand gave us a fantastic opportunity to connect with international clients, industry partners and other businesses from across the region, and to showcase what New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region can offer the global superyacht market.”
Echo Yachts and Rivergate Marina and Shipyard once again co-hosted a captain’s lunch on the Friday, which proved extremely successful in connecting with stakeholders and showcasing the hospitality of the Asia-Pacific. Chris Blackwell, Head of Sales and Marketing, Echo Yachts, commented, “The Monaco Yacht Show was an extremely positive week for Echo Yachts, generating several exciting new project enquiries and valuable connections with owners, representatives, and industry partners from around the world.
