Camper & Nicholsons revealed the first complete exterior and interior project from the Camper & Nicholsons Design Studio. Marking a return to our in-house design tradition, the project introduces a new creative direction centred on the relationship between architecture, light and the sea.
Light as a Material
The 62-metre concept began with an exploration of light and its ability to transform space. A project that places light and water at its core, transforming them into the foundational elements of a new onboard experience.
Inspired by the principles of contemporary architects such as Tadao Ando, openings, perspectives and volumes maintain a close connection with the sea, sky and horizon, while drawing daylight deep into the interior. Daylight is used to articulate volume and alter the perception of space, allowing each interior to change with the movement of the sun throughout the day.
Natural materials including teak, oak, travertine, linen and jute carry variation in grain and texture, while natural colours and muted tones provide a softer backdrop, allowing light and the surrounding seascape to become the protagonists of the experience.

Water at the Stern
Across the stern, two interconnected pools sit on different levels, with water cascading through the staircase from one to the other. The transparent base of the upper pool refracts sunlight into the wellness area below, casting shifting patterns of light across the interior as the water moves above.
Fold-down sections of the transom and side decks expand the surrounding platform at anchor, while frameless glass wraps the aft areas, reducing visual barriers and opening uninterrupted views towards the sea.
Living Spaces
“At the same time, the design had to have the same sense of generosity and liveability as a shoreside residence. Proportion, circulation and comfort were developed with the same attention, allowing architecture, wellbeing and nature to exist in balance,” says Giulia Galanti, Creative Director.
A full-beam owner’s suite occupies the upper deck, with a walkaround berth, separate his-and-hers dressing rooms and bathrooms, and direct access to a private foredeck with its own swimming pool. Guest accommodation continues on the main deck with a full-beam VIP and two further double cabins, while a double and twin cabin are located on the lower deck.
A Return to Creative Roots

Clients can develop their ideas through a digital configurator, while a dedicated materials lounge in Viareggio provides access to finishes, fabrics, surfaces and specialist samples.
