Boost for Australian Domestic Charter Market

In light of current restrictions, the Australian domestic superyacht charter industry has been presented with an opportunity to increase market penetration. With no international travel on the horizon for some time to come, Australians are looking into alternatives to ‘holiday at home’ in 2020. With the international cruise industry being unable to operate in this current climate, it presents a golden opportunity for the Australian charter market.

Yacht Insurance Explained

In a changing insurance market where terms of cover are becoming tighter, claims much more closely looked at and premiums / deductibles all increasing it is more important than ever to carefully scrutinise the cover being offered to you for your yacht, liability and crew covers. Many insurance programmes in today’s operating environment are arranged by non specialist insurance brokers who provide a myriad of services to a yacht. Often Owners / Captains see this as a way of saving money and time, taking the hassle off their desks. But, are these providers experts in yacht insurance and how are they going to assist you in the event of a problem? The specialist yacht insurance broker Expat Marine is able to provide a service that audits an insurance programme to give advice on the levels of cover in place and also what should be in place.
