The month of March has been a busy month for APS Indonesia with Raja Ampat and its favourable weather patterns making a great cruising season of these wonderful islands.

April 26 th and April 27 th will welcome Yacht Golf for the first time in the world! It’s a new experience by M Yachts in partnership with Premier Live that combines two of the most luxurious leisure activities, yachting and golfing, which brings golfers from all around the world together for a round of ‘traditional golf’ followed by a series of golfing challenges taking place in and around Hong Kong.

Originally built as a passenger yacht in Istanbul and launched in 1992, ALTAIR was purchased by her current Owner and comprehensively refitted as a luxury private yacht in 2012. Work undertaken included a new hull in fibreglass and sealed mahogany, new mast and booms in pitch pine and mahogany, new technology and new sails, transforming her in to a sailing yacht capable of achieving up to 9 knots in 25 knot winds.

FLS Projects in Thailand loaded, secured and delivered an 45 ton Aluminum Catamaran from Sattahip, Thailand to Cairns, Australia.

On 30 January, Simpson Marine organised a unique experience for yacht owners from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan by arranging a private tour at Kai Tak Race Village including guided tours on TEAM BRUNEL, AKZO NOBEL and TURN THE TIDE ON PLASTIC’s racing boats, done by sailors themselves and hence very interesting for the visiting guests, with first hand insights on life during long racing passages, team stories and more.

The 8 th edition of the Singapore Yacht Show will take place from 12 – 15 April 2018 at the award-winning ONE°15 Marina in Sentosa Cove.

For the 1st time in its 45-year history, the legendary Volvo Ocean Race dropped its anchor in the southern city of Guangzhou, China from Jan 31st to Feb 5th 2018. The Race Village, located at Nansha Marina, opened its doors to the public on Jan 31st, and the fleet arrived a day later, on Feb 1st, 2018. The only mainland Stopover, this was the 1st time for Guangzhou to host such an important international sailing race. And it won’t be an exaggeration to say that the Volvo Ocean Race became the biggest international sailing event Guangzhou hosted so far.
