Hong Kong Sets Course for Yacht Economy

Hong Kong Boating Industry Association Chair Lawrence Chow and Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association Executive Director Suzy Rayment were interviewed by Dr Stephen Wong Chief Head of the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit about measures announced in the 2025 Policy Address to develop Hong Kong’s yacht economy. The Chief Executive’s Policy Unit hosted a roundtable discussion on the yacht economy in March, gathering insights from industry leaders, Legislative Council members and government bureaus. Asia-Pacific Shines in Monaco

The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is far and away the most important event on the superyacht calendar, and this year’s show was no exception. As busy as ever, with around 30,000 visitors and 120 superyachts, this year there was also plenty of Asia-Pacific superyacht action this year. Several announcements from members of the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA), included new superyacht events in Australia, new partnerships, new charter opportunities, and new marinas in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Japan – which gives the region plenty to promote and celebrate.

Horizon Powercats at FLIBS 2025

Horizon Power Catamarans will present two of its PC models during the 66th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025. A brand new PC60 featuring both an on-deck master and a Portuguese Deck configuration is on display alongside a new PC68 with the same layout. The team will also unveil the first-ever wheelchair accessible layout drawings for the PC68 model at its stand on the Face Dock, Slip 608.

Benetti makes its Debut at Pier Sixty-Six during the FLIBS 2025

Benetti returns to America’s largest boat show in a new location at Pier Sixty-Six. At the Americas Headquarters, “The House of Yachting” will also be present, a private area with a view of the Marina to welcome clients, brokers, and designers during the boat show. On the dock, three superyachts from the Oasis and Class families will be displayed.

Ferretti Group in the Spotlight at FLIBS

Ferretti group has seven vessels on show, including two premieres in the AMAS region, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). Each of the vessels symbolise the creative and productive energy of its world-class brands and the FLIBS confirms its role as an international meeting point for shipyards, owners, and design and yachting enthusiasts.

Establishing a Southern Africa/Indian Ocean Islands Superyacht Route

Gilbert d’Offay, GM of Asia Pacific Superyachts Seychelles participated in a panel discussion at the inaugural African Boat Conference in Cape Town in October 2025. “Besides offering a sailing venue out of the Med & Caribbean season, Africa has something money cannot buy – culture and biodiversity, and there’s so much potential in this region.” enthused d’Offay. “The focus of the conference has been to establish a robust Southern Africa/Indian Ocean Islands Superyacht Route, an attending this conference has been a truly inspiring experience. It also marks a pivotal moment for the region’s marine sector as the atmosphere was vibrant, drawing over 200 experts, innovators and stakeholders from across the yachting industry.

Singapore Yachting Festival 2025

ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove Singapore is set to host the third edition of the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) from 10 – 13 April 2025. Anticipating close to 13,000 visitors, SYF 2025 will boast a significant increase in exhibition and festival space, incorporating new elements including a 1000+sqm land-based exhibition hall, a dedicated superyacht zone and more on-water leisure marine activities for participation.
